We look forward to welcoming you to our dental family where you will always receive exemplary patient care.

Comprehensive Preventive Dentistry

In order to achieve excellent oral health, an emphasis in prevention and early diagnosis is essential. We use the latest technology to complement our thorough approach to preventive care so you can enjoy a comfortable, healthy smile for a lifetime.

From comprehensive dental exams and professional dental cleanings to digital dental x-rays, we monitor your health closely and alert you to any changes so you can address them quickly, before they progress.

High-Quality, Esthetic Restorations

Most patients will need at least one dental restoration during their lifetime. Even the simplest fillings can be esthetic and complement your smile. Dr. Shank’s attention to detail and commitment to using high-quality materials delivers dental restorations that look great, feel comfortable, and protect your smile.

Fillings, dental crowns, dental implants, bridges, dentures, and partial dentures all allow you to smile more confidently and enjoy better health. Knowing they will always receive the best care keeps our patients coming back year after year.

Dental Implant Placement and Restoration

Tooth loss is sometimes a fact of life. At Shank Dentistry, we offer dental implants to complete your smile and improve your oral health. Dental implants are convenient, natural looking, and reliable.

In many dental offices, you will need to see a specialist for dental implant placement. At Shank Dentistry, Dr. Shank places dental implants himself. Using 3-D imaging technology and years of experience in oral surgery, he delivers great results.

Life-Changing Cosmetic Dentistry

A beautiful smile can change lives and melt hearts. If you hide your smile because you feel self-conscious about its appearance, we can help! While all dentistry we provide looks great, cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of your teeth and gums so that you can have greater confidence and improved self-esteem in all you do.

From professional teeth whitening and dental bonding to porcelain veneers and tooth-colored crowns, we give patients the smiles of their dreams. A cosmetic dentistry evaluation will help us determine the procedures that will get you the results you want.

Sleep Apnea and Snoring Treatment

Sleep apnea is a life-threatening disorder that affects at least 40% of Americans. When left untreated, sleep apnea results in an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, male impotence, poor memory and other cognitive impairments, headaches, migraines, increased risk of motor vehicle accidents, acid reflux (GERD), ADHD in children, and even death. Unfortunately this disease is much more common than most people realize. The most common symptoms include snoring, waking up gasping or choking, excessive daytime sleepiness, irritability, memory loss, night time tooth clenching and grinding, restless or unrefreshing sleep, and frequent waking during sleep. Many patients who suffer from snoring and sleep apnea seek an alternative to the conventional CPAP therapy typically prescribed by doctors because they (or their partner) do not tolerate it well. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (the AASM) has even now recognized that for patients with mild to moderate sleep apnea, a dental device can be a great first-line treatment and that these dental devices can be a tremendous benefit to patients with severe sleep apnea as well when they have difficulty using a CPAP.  At our Indianapolis dental office, we offer patients an alternative with custom oral appliances.

Oral appliances open your airway, allowing you to breath easier and allow your body to get the oxygen it needs, thus allowing you to get a better night’s sleep and the improved health that accompanies proper sleep cycles.
